The Censer

Heat without flame

A ceramic plate warms Ritual Smoke until it smoulders, giving real smoke with no flame, charcoal, soot or ash.

One object for body, wardrobe and home

Dark stoneware bowl with the house seal, brushed brass feet and a tall, double-walled lantern lid. The inner baffle spreads the smoke and the pierced outer shell stays cool, so a garment can be draped straight over it.

About 18 cm across and 28 cm tall, and light enough to lift and waft in one hand.

Two zones, one dial

Nothing to swap

A centre well holds the Ritual Smoke wafer. Around it, a separate Home ring warms the home range: wood slivers, resin pearls and scent stones. Each zone has its own element, divided by a raised rim and an insulating gap.

One dial reads Ritual or Home and heats one zone at a time. The Home ring can never reach Ritual heat.

Cordless

On its charging dock the Censer runs from the mains. Lifted off, it runs on its battery for a wafting session.

One press

Press the brass dial for a timed Ritual cycle that switches itself off.

Safe by design

Thermostat, timer and automatic shut-off, a tilt switch, a cool-touch grip and an insulated base. The battery sits in the base, below insulation and a heat shield.

A censer in every room
